On the weekend of 21st and 22nd of April 2019 The Australian Vintage Aviation Society (TAVAS) staged an airshow event, primarily to remember the day 100 years ago when the Red Baron Manfred von Richthofen was shot down and killed by allied troops. The weekend included static and flying displays of replica WW1 aircraft, WW2 and post-WW2 era aircraft, general aviation and F/A-18F Super Hornet and C-17 Globemaster III flying displays by the RAAF.
